“Hoedown Showdown”
Chili Cookoff
at Connolly Ranch
September 10, 2011
Please complete this form and return to Browns Valley Elementary School (see address below) with $150 entry fee to reserve your space. This fee includes 4 tickets to event, 4 tee shirts (if booked by 9/1/11) and a 6 foot table in a space approximately 8’ x 8’ with 2 chairs. If you reserve your booth before 6/30/11, the cost is only $100 per team!
Rules are simple: You must make approximately 5 gallons of chili. There are no limitations on ingredients so get creative! Your chili can be prepared ahead of time and brought to the event, or you can cook it all there. All teams must bring a camp burner (or something comparable) to keep chili warm (there is no electricity in the pasture). Please, no coolers or alcohol may be brought onto the cook-off grounds. It is important to Connolly Ranch that we minimize garbage and keep it green.
Teams are encouraged to decorate their space with a theme. Prizes will be awarded by a panel of judges for “Best Tasting Chili.” In addition, there will be a ballot box at each booth and a prize will be awarded for the “People’s Choice” and “Most Spirited Team.”
